Check Yo Nutz Campaign

The yRoswell Program

Since its inception in 2007, the Yroswell program has grown right alongside its target audience – Generation Y. Roswell Park recognized the importance of creating a campaign to demystify cancer. The goal is to make cancer less intimidating and a stigma-free topic for the next generation of cancer professionals, patients and advocates. Essentially, the program is a grassroots network of young people – ages 12 to 26 – all working toward “a world without cancer.”

To help achieve this goal, Yroswell creates, sponsors and supports programs and initiatives that revolve around three primary themes: learning, giving and coping. The program strives to cultivate and inspire Gen Y’ers interested in careers in healthcare, while also motivating them to volunteer, fundraise and advocate for a cancer-free tomorrow. It also supports and connects those affected by cancer, directly or indirectly, helping them deal with the emotional impact of the disease.
